RICS

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) sets the standards for Chartered Surveyors worldwide. Membership of the RICS is open only to qualified Chartered Surveyors who have passed the exams and are registered with the Institution.

The RICS represents an international community of property professionals involved in land, valuation, real estate, construction and environmental issues. Its main roles include regulation of ethics and standards, education and training, advisory services to government and the publication of information and research.

Within Ringley, the Managing Director, the Group Property Director, the Head of Building Engineering and a Board Director have all achieved Chartered Surveyor status. Ringley is also a corporate member of the Institution, giving the highest standards of ethics and fiscal probity.

ARMA

The Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA) represents companies engaged in the management of residential leasehold blocks of flats. Their principal aim is to work towards improving standards and service for lessees and freeholders and members are bound by their Code of Practice. Ringley are corporate members of ARMA.

ARMA also has its training arm, the Institute of Residential Property Managers (IRPM), who regulate the exams leading to the recognised industry qualifications showing competencies is the understanding of the financial, legal and services areas of residential property management.

The Managing Director of Ringley also serves on ARMA Committee and is a Governor of the Institute of Residential Property Managers.

ABE
The Association of Building Engineers (ABE) is the UK's representative body for the building engineering sector, setting standards for engineering, education and advising on constantly changing building regulations. The Head of Building Engineering and his team are all members of ABE, as is the Managing Director.

Ringley has passed through the challenges of being accredited. Being recognized and re-recognised since, ensures that from the MD down, and from the post room up, everyone within the group is focused and committed to the same goals of customer care and service, through ongoing education and evaluation.

SAVA

SAVA, the Surveyors and Valuers Accreditation, is now heavily involved in the preparation and training of HIPS Inspectors and are currently heavily involved with Government initiatives to reform the home buying process in England and Wales.

Ringley's MD, Maryanne Bowring, achieved Surveyors Valuers Accreditation in 1999.

Disabled People

This is the recognition given by Jobcentre Plus to employers who have agreed to take action to meet five commitments regarding the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled employees.

Ringley made a commitment to those with special needs and in 2003, were recognised for work with people with learning difficulties.

Special Needs Employees
Remploy is the market leading expert in the provision of specialist employment services for disabled people and those who face complex barriers to employment. Ringley were Winners of the Regional Award for Work with Special Needs Employees in 2003 & 2004 and in 2004 took the National Award as well.
KAS Quality Management
ISO (International Organization of Standardisation) is an international body of technical standards for various industries. Being ISO accredited means benchmarking what customer quality means within the processes within your company, documenting the people responsible for service delivery and appointing a Quality Manager to oversee non-conformance. Ringley have passed each annual external audit since achieving ISO Accreditation in November 2000 and is committed to continuos improvement to process and quality improvement. Our quality system is introduced to all new employees during their first week so team members can see how documents and processes we use affect their work delivery and underpin our quality system.
