Ringley believe that It is a business’s obligation beyond that required by the law and economics to pursue long term goals that are good for the society.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the name or phrase used to describe the policies that a company to give something back to society and the environment. Ringley is committed to managing its business in such a way that its activities produce a positive effect on the society. In a nutshell, CSR is the inclusion of public interest in the decision making process we apply.

Carbon Footprint

Carbon Footprint

Increasingly consumers have become aware that the implications of their decisions do have an impact on the environmental, so how we buy and use resources now encompasses social and ethical concerns. At Ringley, we seek to minimise the impact we have on the environment and therefore are measuring and monitoring our carbon footprint and include environmental considerations where possible as part of the way we plan our business activities.

A carbon footprint is the measure of the consequences of our activities on the environment, and especially on the climate change. It deals with the amount of greenhouse gases produced individually in our daily lives through heating, transportation, as an individual or an organization.

A carbon footprint is the sum of 2 parts:

Education & Youth Development

Education & Youth Development

Part of the Ringley ethos is to create a nurturing working and learning enviornment in which staff can fulfill their potential while the Company gains from the flexibility needs to adapt to changing times.

We extend this ethos to our interaction with the local community. We support work experience placements with students at local schools. They are encouraged to use the opportunity to develop and hone their ability to positively respond to work situations and not just complete a task but do it well and understand how their work integrates in an overall provision of service to our clients.

Students have placed across the range of departments at Ringley and those who excel in this nurturing environment have gone on to enjoy paid holiday work periods at our company.

Support for developing nations / right to life

Water Aid

Our commitment to the community and environment extends to projects overseas as we support developing nations through WATERAID.

WATERAID look to develop practical solutions to vital problems. Their focus is on providing safe water, effective sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.

They work with local communities to develop sustainable solutions to underlying problems and we believe our support of WATERAID is entirely in line with our practical approach to property management.

We donate the savings we get when our Clients pay their service charge bills on time, ie, the savings from not having to send reminders, final notices, envelopes, stamps etc. In fact Ringley donates £15 for every 36 clients who pay their service charge bills on time. Ringley also pays the credit card charges for those clients who pay online and add £15 to support WATERAID.

As responsible managing agents we feel that it is our duty to our customers as well as to Society at large to manage buildings adopting "Green" principles so as to minimize their negative impact on the environment. This often has the added benefit of reducing costs for our customers.

Wherever possible we apply "Green" principles to the management of buildings so as to minimise their negative impact on the environment. This often has the added benefit of reducing costs for our customers.

For new schemes we work with Developers to assist them in meeting their sustainability objectives: Whilst the developer will build certain elements of sustainability into the fabric of their schemes, our contribution is in understanding the longer term issues and reflecting these in the management and maintenance regime for each site. We look at the following main areas of sustainability
