Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking from a multi-disciplined team with one eye on the strategic long term plan and with sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day: the skills that block and estate management spans are: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

As a leading Managing Agent, we are a one-stop-property shop. We understand that our role is sometimes signposting Clients to get expert advice and supporting them to interpret such advice and make decisions. We support and help owners reach out to government and other local services where matters are beyond our day-to-day block management remit.

Towards Practical Completion we will be preparing always to mobilse new assets, take plant handover, recruit great teams and lease up fast.

Our aim is to make Management Company Directors feel empowered: to us this means 100% transparency and advising them of the options available to support decision making. We know volunteer directors have a day job, so work to delivery what they need in a timely manner and guide them on the decisions we need.

History of Whitechapel

Whitechapel is part of the East End of London, situated 3.4 miles east of Charing Cross. Whitechapel High Street is named after a small chapel of ease, dedicated to St. Mary. In c.1338, it became the parish church of Whitechapel, and was then called St. Mary Matfelon.
During the 19th century, the area was unfortunately associated with poverty and suffering, especially the small streets just off Whitechapel Road. Charles Dickens, the writer, cited such areas in his novels, to describe filth, poverty and overcrowding.
In 1865, William Booth formed the Christian Mission, to help alleviate suffering; and in 1878, the Salvation Army followed this aim. Booth is commemorated with a statue, for his good works in Whitechapel.
Joseph Merrick, (1862-1890), otherwise known as the "Elephant Man", due to his physical deformities, was renowned in Whitechapel: he was exhibited in a shop on the Whitechapel Road. However, Frederick Treves, (1853-1923), a surgeon at the Royal London Hospital, opposite the actual shop, agreed to help Merrick, and ensured he was looked after for the rest of his life. 
In the late 19th century, many immigrants came to the area, especially Irish and Jewish. 
Much of Whitechapel, including the original St. Mary Matfelon church was destroyed in a Blitz, during World War II, (1939-1945).
The 2011 census showed the area's population, to have a total 14,862 residents. Today, Bangladeshis make up the largest migrant group: 40% of the population of Whitechapel.

Whitechapel Gallery, 77-82 Whitechapel High Street, London, E1, was originally opened in 1901, as one of the first pubicly funded galleries for temporary exhibitions in London. The gallery offers a good choice of exhibitions, and offers events, such as workshops, lectures and films. The gallery has spaces for hire, including studios and an auditorium. There is also the Townsend, a dining room, cafe and wine bar, with a menu that is changed every day.
