Block and Estate Management is about the minutia done well: the role of a Managing Agent is technical, administrative, practical and political. It takes joined up thinking from a multi-disciplined team with one eye on the strategic long term plan and with sufficient resource to react to whatever is necessary day-to-day: the skills that block and estate management spans are: politics, building pathology, finance, legal knowhow and of course customer service too.

As a leading Managing Agent, we are a one-stop-property shop. We understand that our role is sometimes signposting Clients to get expert advice and supporting them to interpret such advice and make decisions. We support and help owners reach out to government and other local services where matters are beyond our day-to-day block management remit.

Towards Practical Completion we will be preparing always to mobilse new assets, take plant handover, recruit great teams and lease up fast.
We work to enhance the value of our Client’s asset and demonstrate good governance. To us this means engaging with leaseholders, residents and other stakeholders to ensure they are engaged with the management of each development.
Our aim is to make Management Company Directors feel empowered: to us this means 100% transparency and advising them of the options available to support decision making. We know volunteer directors have a day job, so work to delivery what they need in a timely manner and guide them on the decisions we need.

History of Mill Hill

Mill Hill is situated in north London, in the borough of Barnet. It is 9 miles from central London. The original name was Myllehill in 1547, and this means "hill with a windmill". It probably derives from a mill on The Ridgeway, built on an area of open ground, known as The Mill Field.
From the 17th century onwards, the area's proximity to the city made it a popular country retreat. Many of the early 18th century estates and large houses survive to this day. The staffing of houses and estate management, and the building of many farms, brought more workers to the area. 
A nonconformist school was built in 1807. This is now Mill Hill School. The Wilberforce Anglican Church was built in 1833; and many Roman Catholic Institutions were built in the 1860s.
In 1867, during the reign of Queen Victoria, (r.1837-1901),  the original Mill Hill station, was opened on the Edgware, Highgate and London Railway. In 1941, it opened as an Underground station, on the Northern Line. In 1868, the original station Lawrence Street, was opened on the Midlands Railway. It was renamed Mill Hill Broadway in 1950. 
From the 1860s onwards, new easier access to London with railways, brought a boom in house building. The construction of the Barnet Bypass in 1926, brought more commercial activity, especially at the lower end of Lawrence Street, which was renamed The Broadway. During this period, more estates were built. 
It was not until 1965, that Mill Hill became a suburb of London. It was originally a region of Middlesex. In 1880, the area had a population of 1,335; in 1921, it was 6,055, and in 1931, it was 56,031. However, in 2011, Mill Hill's population was 18,451.

I went to Mill Hill Park with a friend, and enjoyed a game of tennis. Afterwards, we stopped at the café, for a pleasant lunch. We went for a walk, and admired the lovely flowerbeds and trees.

Mill Hill Park, Watford Way, Mill Hill, London, NW7, is a Green Flag award winning park. It has beautiful flowerbeds, wide open green lawns and mature trees. There is a small nature reserve, planted by the local community. Sports facilities include basketball courts, football and cricket grounds, tennis courts and crazy golf. There are plenty of peaceful picnic areas, as well as children's playgrounds and toddler play areas. The park has a small cafe for refreshments, and free car parking spaces for visitors.

Mani & Nick's, 20 The Broadway, Mill Hill, London, NW7, offers Mediterranean food with a British influence. The menu has starters, including seafood, chicken and vegetarian options. Sides include salads, vegetables and fries. Mains include beef steak, tuna steak, chicken, vegetarian and pasta. There are a good choice of wraps and burgers, and jacket potatoes. For the drinks menu, wines include red, white, rose and prosecco; also cocktails, beer/breezers and soft drinks.
